The Walking Dead Nabs Three Emmy Nominations for Season 2

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards this morning, and The Walking Dead was honored nominations for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup, Outstanding Visual Effects and Outstanding Sound Editing for the second straight year.

The nominations are part of 34 garnered by AMC this year, with an additional 17 nominations going to Mad Men, 13 to Breaking Bad and one to Hell on Wheels.
Special Makeup Designer Greg Nicotero and his KNB EFX team were nominated for Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup for Season 2 Episode 1, "What Lies Ahead".

Sperling and Darrell Pritchett -- along with their team at Stargate Studios -- were nominated for Outstanding Visual Effects for their work on Season 2 Episode 13, "Beside The Dying Fire". The full.

Supervising Sound Editor Jerry Ross was also nominated for Outstanding Sound Editing for Season 2 Episode 13, "Beside The Dying Fire".

Will Lori Stop Being A B*tch?

As we all know Lori is hated by every viewer of The Walking Dead (if you don't then you need help). But will we see her continue to cause mayhem in the group? My guess is yes; she caused the death of Shane as we saw just as we thought Shane got over her she comes back and gives him false hope. Who forgot when she told Rick that Shane was dangerous? Rick sorted the problem out and killed him, but Lori was angry at him for doing so?

So what else can she do, well now since she is pregnant I can see her ordering people round like she is queen. I'm counting down the days until she dies and write this down as evidence, I right now predict she will die in season 3 if not then I'm wrong and I will be angry.

I'm confused are we meant to hate her? I believe that is what the writers wanted to achieve and if it is give them a pay rise!

The Walking Dead Episode 3: Long Road Ahead Release Date! Kinda....

So Telltale Games gave us a release date, this date is mid August so no exact date given but still it gives a rough idea when we get to play. I will be doing a review as usual for the game so follow the blog and keep an eye out for that!

The Walking Dead Season 3 Comic-Con Trailer

We Finally get a real good look at season 3 with a brand new trailer! Watch and then enjoy this post extracting details from the trailer which we may of got.

The trailer opens with the preview we got from The Talking Dead with Michonne, we get shots of a helicopter most likely from Season 1 and 2 which yet again like the comic is crashing, but this time it is Andrea and Michonne who are following it and it is how they end up getting to Woodbury. Also this time the helicopter is armed with soldiers, is the military still out there somewhere?

We see that an epic battle will go down most likely in the series premier for the prison. We also see Lori tell Rick he is isn't a murderer which tells us that the Shane situation will still play some role in season 3.

The Governor looks as if he will decieve Michonne and Andrea, this will lead into Andrea telling The Governor she was from a larger group.  This looks like very early on which is unusual that we will see Rick and The Governor meet face to face, I'm really excited for this. I noticed a particular line from Rick, "we took it it's ours, we spilled blood" maybe this means they killed a prisoner maybe inside who was evil? Or maybe he means that they lost a member of the group but who? The final shot we get is Merle who has a freaking knife on his arm badass!

With all this I'm excited this season will be outstanding, this trailer just makes it all the more harder to wait for!

The Walking Dead Issue 100 Review! (MAJOR SPOILERS)

Issue 100 is here and god was it intense, we finally meet the new main bad guy Negan who I must say makes The Governor look like a puppy. This issue contains the death of (MAJOR SPOILER HERE NOW) Glenn and boy was it gruesome but we will get to that later on. Pretty much the main focus is Rick and the gang getting captured by The Saviours and then we get the introduction of Negan straight after, he does a whole lot of swearing and says he wants revenge for what Ricks group did to some of his members, Negan decides to do this by picking a member of the captured group to execute with his weapon Lucille, which is a baseball bat with barbed wire around it. Negan cannot decide who to kill so instead does a sort of childlike random pick which ends up landing on Glenn. Glenn gets pulled out and his head gets smashed to pieces, this made my jaw drop when I read this it was gruesome and I never expected it, the issue ends with Negan telling Rick he will be back in a week to take half of their stuff.

Verdict: amazing not as good as the hype though – 9/10

A new game is being made for The Walking Dead which will look like Daryl will be the main character and maybe Merle (maybe meaning cooperative) I can't say what this will be like yet since the trailer shows no gameplay. It is a really cool idea and I hope it is not just a huge cash in, but expect coverage for this game coming soon from here so stay tuned!

'The Walking Dead': First look at the prison... and prison zombies!

Ask most readers of The Walking Dead comic book what their favorite setting is and they’ll say two words: the prison. Boy is everyone excited for the prison highlight of  The Walking Dead by far and we now have pictures, these show the group fighting zombies and a really awesome shot of Maggie which I love! Below I have posted these exclusive shos which InsideTV got. As we can see it looks like the group will be in danger straight from the start which is expected from a prison fool of zombies! These shots really do explain why this show may be the best show in history!
