Issue 100 is here and god was it intense, we finally meet
the new main bad guy Negan who I must say makes The Governor look like a puppy.
This issue contains the death of (MAJOR SPOILER HERE NOW) Glenn and boy was it
gruesome but we will get to that later on. Pretty much the main focus is Rick
and the gang getting captured by The Saviours and then we get the introduction
of Negan straight after, he does a whole lot of swearing and says he wants
revenge for what Ricks group did to some of his members, Negan decides to do
this by picking a member of the captured group to execute with his weapon
Lucille, which is a baseball bat with barbed wire around it. Negan cannot
decide who to kill so instead does a sort of childlike random pick which ends
up landing on Glenn. Glenn gets pulled out and his head gets smashed to pieces,
this made my jaw drop when I read this it was gruesome and I never expected it,
the issue ends with Negan telling Rick he will be back in a week to take half
of their stuff.
Verdict: amazing not as good as the hype though – 9/10
