The Walking Dead proves popular with gamers

More than one million episodes of The Walking Dead have been sold to gamers so far, it has been confirmed.

The game series has been developed by Telltale Games and award winning writer Robert Kirkman. Episode one has attracted glowing reviews since its launch, with Official Xbox Magazine, PC Gamer and IGN.com among the commentators rating it highly.
Dan Connors, chief executive of Telltale Games, commented: "The tailored narrative design puts gamers in control of their own story within the universe of The Walking Dead in a way that appeals equally to hardcore gamers and to more casual gamers who are fans of the franchise."

He promised aficionados of the series that the next set of episodes will allow them to enjoy "some really great moments".

Mr Connors added that garnering a record audience across so many different platforms has been a "tremendous achievement".


Episode one, which is named A New Day, will be followed by a second instalment next month – Starved for Help.
