The Walking Dead Episode 3 Long Road Ahead Review!

The Walking Dead has yet again added another medal to the list, episode 3 shows just why The Walking Dead is the fastest rising franchise in the past couple of years.

The first two episodes of The Walking Dead: The Game slowly introduced players to a twisted world filled with zombies and crazies that forced us to make tough decisions based on how we thought our version of Lee would take these various scenarios. These different decisions that we have had to made in Episodes 1 and 2 have been able to give us a general outline of a “good and bad” way to do things. Episode 3 takes all of those defined lines and blurs them completely.

The more I play The Walking Dead: The Game, the more I feel my humanity slip away. I now feel like I make my choices on survival, they still are painful for me to make but I justify it by saying "I do this for Clementine".

As Lee, we see our group through some seriously screwed up and emotional moments, as well as a whole bunch of conversations and light gameplay problem solving. We see the most emotional scenes yet, my eyes teared up a few times but I remained strong!

We get introduced to more characters who add some interesting story and bring in some freshness to the game. It’s a harrowing fact but one that you won’t escape in a zombie-survival situation, the longer you survive often times will lead to fewer things to live for.

The game still suffers from the minor frame drops again, this time it was not as bad as usual though. This factor though is not a huge problem, if you have not purchased this game series yet now is the best time. If you love a strong story then this is for you, this game puts heavy rain to shame in terms of story.

9.5/10 best episode yet, delivers everywhere!

Walking Dead Episode 3 This Week!

Telltale Games said they'd probably releasing Episode Three of their Walking Dead adventure game this week and it seems they'll deliver on that promise. They plan to release the latest episode across multiple platforms across the next two days.

PSN users in North America will be able to download the episode today. The Xbox 360, PC, Mac, and European PS3 versions will go live on Wednesday. Individual episodes can be purchased for $4.99 on consoles, while PC and Mac players will have to spring for a $24.99 Season Pass for all five episodes.

Walking Dead: The Game features a cast of mostly new characters. In the wake of a zombie outbreak, a small group of human survivors have to depend on each other for safety. Players take on the role of Lee Everett, an escaped convict who reluctantly becomes a leader of this group.

While the game is being released as separate episodes, there are strong ties between each. Lee's decisions in one episode will have ramifications in later episodes. You might have to take sides in an argument between survivors or decide whether or not to let someone die.

In Episode 3, the survivors are beginning to turn on each other. They begin to suspect that there's a traitor in their midst. The group hits the road in order to find a new safe haven.

Milton,New Character Revealed

Robert Kirkman has said, "Milton is the details guy... He's the guy that works with the Governor, who is monitoring all situations and is trying to help the Governor make sense of this world that they're living in. He's not exactly a scientist, but he's a smart guy that is trying to find out how zombies behave. Watching him do his little experiments is going to be a lot of fun."

Furthermore Glen Mazzara put a word in as well as follows:

"We were examining, 'How do people survive in this apocalyptic world, and what can people contribute?'... And we didn't think it was plausible that every single character we meet is an efficient zombie killer. We just didn't buy that everyone we know would be active and deft enough to kill every walker. We wanted to show how other people survive, and Dallas has come in and helped us establish that character. He just adds a lot of heart and humanity to Woodbury, which further complicates what that is. That is a real town with real people and real survivors. It's not necessarily a group of bad guys."

The Walking Dead Issue 103 Cover

This cover is a real tease, will Rick give into Negan? Most likely not but I do really like this cover as we see Negan with his legendary weapon he used to kill Glenn, it is really interesting to see how this storyline will advance on. This is building up to a much bigger storyline than we have ever seen before.

Below is the cover for issue 103.

Why The Walking Dead Has Brought Life Back To The Zombie Character

George A. Romero brought zombies to our screen many years ago, since then we have seen many more creations in the zombie genre. From games to films and even books, over the years these have went downhill.

Resident Evil brought a successful representation of zombies even chucking in a really nice twist of all different super creations, since then though Resident Evil has fallen flat on its face. With a stream of terrible movies and games which are not close to as fun as the original games.

Films have gone downhill with some really lazy attempts at bringing zombies to our screen also, The Walking Dead proved though that George A. Romero had a winning formula and Kirkman has brought it back, he proves old style zombies can still be scary and gruesome.

Viewing figures prove that fans want what The Walking Dead gives, a zombie survival with the old scary zombies combined with an amazing storyline. With season 3 we will see these zombies yet again blow viewers away.

Something A Little Different: Batman Dark Knight Rises Review

I thought for a little change I did fancy doing a mini review for the new Batman film since I'm short
on Walking Dead news at the moment.  This review contains some spoilers which are major.

Christopher Nolan has done it again, he created a stunning finish to the trilogy, it is tough to imagine that a comic strip could have such an amazing film which is even enjoyed by non comic fans. You remain fixed to your seats through the entire run as this film always has something interesting happening.

The big bad guy this time is Bane, unlike Dark Knight which seemed like The Joker was the main focus we get a nice balance between Bane and Batman in the film. This film clearly links far more to Batman begins rather than The Dark Knight, it seems to have a large focus around ra's al ghul as the film is filled with links to him.

Yet again Christian Bale nails Bruce Wayne and Batman, Gary Oldman continues to prove why he’s one of the best actors in the world and the addition of Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy are prefect. Much like I had to give praise to Heath Ledger for his performance as the Joker in the Dark Knight. Tom Hardy deserves just as much praise for his role as Bane. Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character also was a real nice addition.

As a reminder, the final moments of The Dark Knight Rises provide closure to each of the main characters as they pertain to the trilogy. Some people have complained that it is too happy for this franchise. While they aren’t wrong, they are incorrect to assume it’s not completely appropriate. Bruce Wayne deserves to live, in all incarnations of the word. Alfred deserves to see Bruce. Fox deserves to have his faith rewarded. Selina deserves a fresh start, Blake deserves to take up the mantle.

The two most fiercely debated aspects of the ending are clearly Bruce’s future and Blake’s future. The one most ripe for discussion is clearly Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s John Blake. Nearing the end we find out that John Blake is actually called Robin (we all know where this is going). The comics suggest this character is dressed in a red and green suit. But Nolan is a visionary, and he understands that there is more to characters than the costumes they wear. So don’t devalue his work by simply saying, “John Blake is Robin.” I think we can find a lot more behind this character, I would not see him as simply comic Robin at all but as something much more complex.

A little foreshadowing goes a long way. So, when Batman flies off into the ocean with the bomb it was clear what would happen. The film was setting us up for it pretty obviously. Fox constantly going on about the autopilot in the Bat. Alfred’s chat about the cafe. link this all together and we get the perfect scene of Alfred in the cafe seeing Bruce doing exactly what he wanted him to do.

I only had one simple problem the Bane voice, it had been re-dubbed due to being not able to understand him. In places I still struggled and also I thought some of the head movements of Bane did not fit well with what he was saying. This is my only real complaint.

All in all this film was amazing loved every second a fantastic ending to the trilogy - score - 9.5/10

Will Lori Stop Being A B*tch?

As we all know Lori is hated by every viewer of The Walking Dead (if you don't then you need help). But will we see her continue to cause mayhem in the group? My guess is yes; she caused the death of Shane as we saw just as we thought Shane got over her she comes back and gives him false hope. Who forgot when she told Rick that Shane was dangerous? Rick sorted the problem out and killed him, but Lori was angry at him for doing so?

So what else can she do, well now since she is pregnant I can see her ordering people round like she is queen. I'm counting down the days until she dies and write this down as evidence, I right now predict she will die in season 3 if not then I'm wrong and I will be angry.

I'm confused are we meant to hate her? I believe that is what the writers wanted to achieve and if it is give them a pay rise!

The Walking Dead Season 3 Comic-Con Trailer

We Finally get a real good look at season 3 with a brand new trailer! Watch and then enjoy this post extracting details from the trailer which we may of got.

The trailer opens with the preview we got from The Talking Dead with Michonne, we get shots of a helicopter most likely from Season 1 and 2 which yet again like the comic is crashing, but this time it is Andrea and Michonne who are following it and it is how they end up getting to Woodbury. Also this time the helicopter is armed with soldiers, is the military still out there somewhere?

We see that an epic battle will go down most likely in the series premier for the prison. We also see Lori tell Rick he is isn't a murderer which tells us that the Shane situation will still play some role in season 3.

The Governor looks as if he will decieve Michonne and Andrea, this will lead into Andrea telling The Governor she was from a larger group.  This looks like very early on which is unusual that we will see Rick and The Governor meet face to face, I'm really excited for this. I noticed a particular line from Rick, "we took it it's ours, we spilled blood" maybe this means they killed a prisoner maybe inside who was evil? Or maybe he means that they lost a member of the group but who? The final shot we get is Merle who has a freaking knife on his arm badass!

With all this I'm excited this season will be outstanding, this trailer just makes it all the more harder to wait for!

The Walking Dead Issue 100 Review! (MAJOR SPOILERS)

Issue 100 is here and god was it intense, we finally meet the new main bad guy Negan who I must say makes The Governor look like a puppy. This issue contains the death of (MAJOR SPOILER HERE NOW) Glenn and boy was it gruesome but we will get to that later on. Pretty much the main focus is Rick and the gang getting captured by The Saviours and then we get the introduction of Negan straight after, he does a whole lot of swearing and says he wants revenge for what Ricks group did to some of his members, Negan decides to do this by picking a member of the captured group to execute with his weapon Lucille, which is a baseball bat with barbed wire around it. Negan cannot decide who to kill so instead does a sort of childlike random pick which ends up landing on Glenn. Glenn gets pulled out and his head gets smashed to pieces, this made my jaw drop when I read this it was gruesome and I never expected it, the issue ends with Negan telling Rick he will be back in a week to take half of their stuff.
Verdict: amazing not as good as the hype though – 9/10

The Walking Dead: The Game - Episode 2: Starved for Help Review

The Walking Dead: The Game -- Episode 2: Starved for Help is a suspense thriller. The main focus is a huge curveball this time being about how people cope in this madness.

The second of five downloadable episodes, Starved for Help picks up three months after the zombie apocalypse broke out in the original episode of The Walking Dead: The Game.

We now get to see our choices play out a bit more now that we had in episode 1 you don't get a second chance to say something in this adventure game; dialogue pops up, and you have a limited amount of time to make a choice that will influence your friends and make new enemies.

This episode makes us go to a darker place in The Walking Dead no spoilers to what exactly but I gotta say it was amazing. I found myself breaking relationships with a survivor and making new relationships which really I never thought I would do but it really is spectacular. I truly believed that I was Lee Everret (leading character) I even put survival before Clementine at a certain point which I really struggled to do because I love the character so much which resulted in me losing some trust with her.

I really did feel depressed playing this episode not in a bad way I loved it I really felt the weight of my actions on my back and realizing how much of a darker character I had now become. So many times I was shocked at what I was seeing happen and this story really gets you involved like nothing I have ever seen before.

Telltale have outone themselves yet again and I really cannot wait for episode 3 now which may even result in me getting even darker as a character or can I redeem myself? only time can tell.

some technical hiccups remind you of over and over again. Lip syncing seems to be a bit more lax this time around, music will drop out mid track, and animations will freeze as scenes change. This is no reason though not to try this game as it is a masterpiece but they pull you out of an otherwise engrossing experience.

The Walking Dead: The Game -- Episode 2: Starved for Help wasn't what I was expecting. Rather than focus on more walkers and more headshots, the game turns everything around and made me focus on the possible threat of other survivors. It made me realize I cannot be the good guy all the time and hope to survive it's definitely a different experience than the first episode and that is what I want.

Episode 2 gets a solid 9/10 only thing bringing this game down is the technical issues but really this is something special and I advise you to try it now.

First Governor Picture For Season 3

We got the first picture of the Governor he looks nothing like he his comic counterpart but that is good, this show is their interpretation of the character so it is good to see that difference in the character. But he does look like an asshole which is great!

The Walking Dead #98 Review (contains major spoilers)

As The Walking Dead inches closer to issue #100, there's a definite sense that something horrific is brewing. Last time the series reached a big milestone issue, half the cast were slaughtered in a battle with the Governor's forces. The situation in Something to Fear isn't that different at the moment. The current cast face imminent war with another pocket of hostile survivors, and that war comes one step closer to reality in issue #98.

The issue starts out quietly enough, with a fun little exchange between Abraham and Eugene about Rosita but it isn't long before events start. This issue contains the first truly shocking moment the series has seen since Carl was shot in the head last year. We see Abraham take an arrow through the head while still being able to finish off his final words before he dies, a real big loss Abraham was a great character.

We then see these new enemies for the Alexandria safe-zone are a real threat maybe even bigger than The Governor only time can tell what will happen. In any case, the issue never lets up once this event happens. This is easily one of the more exciting installments of Walking Dead in a long time as we see huge events which will change The Walking Dead forever.

Charlie Adlard's did a really good job this issue with the artwork it seemed a  bit more refined and detailed than it has been in recent issues.

Issue #98 succeeds mainly in how well it blends the various Walking Dead elements. Though unusually action-heavy, there are a few character-centric scenes to balance things out. And it certainly succeeds in building tension and paving the way for what should be an eventful issue #100.

9/10 fantastic issue!

'The Walking Dead': Exclusive first look at Danai Gurira as fan favorite Michonne

Ever since we saw that cloaked figure brandishing a katana sword while accompanied by two chained up armless zombies in The Walking Dead’s season 2 finale, fans have been salivating for a first look at the woman under the hood — Michonne. That first look is now here. A fan favorite from The Walking Dead comic book on which the AMC series is based, Michonne will be played by actress Danai Gurira (Treme) when the show returns for season 3 this October, and here is your exclusive first taste of what she will look like.

In the comics, Michonne is an unflinching warrior who proves to be powerful ally for Rick Grimes and the rest of the survivors. But how different will the onscreen version be? “The essence of the character — her personality, her motives, everything that makes Michonne Michonne — remains intact from the comics,” says Robert Kirkman (the creator of the comic and executive producer of the TV adaptation). “But like a lot of things on the show, there will be little tweaks and differences here and there. We saw that her introduction is slightly different from how it was in the comic, and her interaction with Andrea is really going to be a really cool addition to the character that I think will get television viewers up to speed, and they’ll get to know her a lot faster than comic book readers did.”
As for why they cast the relatively unknown Danai Gurira for the pivotal role, Kirkman says, “We looked at a lot of talented people that were really fantastic, but we were waiting for that one spark, that moment where everyone was completely in agreement and completely excited, and we felt like we had found the essence of this fictional character that just randomly appeared in another person, and that person was Danai Gurira. She kind of came in and really just blew us all away. She’s got incredible presence, and she’s got a theater background, and is very physical, and was just perfect for the role.”
Kirkman is equally enthusiastic about the big location setting for season 3, as Rick and company attempt to turn a prison into their new zombie-proof fortress. “It looks absolutely amazing,” gushes Kirkman. “They are shooting the hell out of this prison. It just looks absolutely stunning, and I think when people start seeing trailers and stuff for this season, I think people are just gonna be like, “Wait, what? This is what? I can’t believe this is a TV show!” It’s really creepy, really moody and it’s just gonna be really awesome.”

Blog Request: Design Your Own Walking Dead Character

This is a really interesting blog post, I would create maybe a psycho badass bad guy or maybe even a good guy he could be interesting on both. The idea is a character who pretty much carves a smiley face into his skin everytime he kills a zombie so as you imagine he may be covered in these smiley faces. Heres the fun part though he also carves sad faces into his skin for every human he has killed he could fit into a group of killers pretty well I guess you could say being like this, but maybe he would fit into a group like Rick well as a new badass of the group.

Thats it really do tell me if you liked my character or if you thought he was a terrible idea feel free to share this blog to other fans to help spread the word!

The Walking Dead Season 1 Recap: Episode 1 - Days Gone Bye

I'm a huge fan of the comic book, so to see this get made into a T.V show I was really excited. Thinking back this episode is my second favourite episode first being Beside The Dying Fire the finale for season 2 which is going to be really hard to top. Episode 1 almost seemed like it was a movie it was really well directed by Frank Darabont and we got a spectacular shot of a birds eye view above the tank Rick enters which may be the best shot or at least near the top that we have ever seen in The Walking Dead.

This episode unlike many other episodes keeps reasonably close to the comic apart from the opening and the tank scene at the end. I thought this episode was really good at drawing me into the show even thought maybe it was'nt as hard to get me to watch since I was already a small fan of the comic but after this I bought a lot more of the comic.

When I saw Rick in this episode I knew he would be perfect for the role and he really played the "shocked" character well and it is interesting to see that he has evolved a huge amount since this episode.

I would by far give this episode a 10/10 due to being up with the best off this show so far and no real complaint can be made about this episode.

The Walking Dead proves popular with gamers

More than one million episodes of The Walking Dead have been sold to gamers so far, it has been confirmed.

The game series has been developed by Telltale Games and award winning writer Robert Kirkman. Episode one has attracted glowing reviews since its launch, with Official Xbox Magazine, PC Gamer and IGN.com among the commentators rating it highly.
Dan Connors, chief executive of Telltale Games, commented: "The tailored narrative design puts gamers in control of their own story within the universe of The Walking Dead in a way that appeals equally to hardcore gamers and to more casual gamers who are fans of the franchise."

He promised aficionados of the series that the next set of episodes will allow them to enjoy "some really great moments".

Mr Connors added that garnering a record audience across so many different platforms has been a "tremendous achievement".

Episode one, which is named A New Day, will be followed by a second instalment next month – Starved for Help.

How The Daryl And Merle Confrontation Should Go In Season 3

I think this is the most interesting thing or at least in the top 5 things that I want to see in season 3 or maybe season 4 if they decide to hold it back that long. The reason is that we know Daryl was pissed that they left Merle on that roof but now Daryl has managed to become part of this group and be liked by its members due to how much of an asset he actually is to the group. Will he still be loyal though if his brother comes back? I think so I really don't think he will turn his back on Rick's group and I think it will be Daryl who kills Merle in the end.

Little extra this week for the Daryl fans here is a video from  really cool Daryl video.

Kirkman and Skybound Announce "The Walking Dead Escape: San Diego"

It takes a very special kind of person to not only appreciate a narrative about apocalypse-by-zombie but also to actually want to take part in that apocalypse. And soon there will be an event for those fans that lets them play a role in the simulated downfall of civilization or, if they wish, contribute to it.
Kirkman and Skybound have announced their first ever event, "The Walking Dead Escape: San Diego," which is described as "unlike any obstacle course event in the U.S." The post-apocalyptic event will expand on "The Walking Dead" comic book series, allowing both Survivors and Walkers to explore the initial days of the zombie apocalypse. To that end, Skybound is turning Petco Park into a full-out representation of the earliest days of the undead uprising.

For more information or to register for this event, please visit www.thewalkingdeadescape.com or www.Skybound.com.

Walking Dead Season 2 Best Bits - Dales Death

At first I admit I wasnt not a fan of this death, but after a second watch I did kinda enjoy it and accept it more. This death was the only death I genuinly was shocked at I remember just sitting after and thinking "They just killed Dale" This was the only death I did not expect happening I read up a lot on The Walking Dead so I kinda predicted what would happen not here though.

I maybe thought the reason I did not enjoy it was I did not really enjoy this episode as much as the others due to the direction of Carl's character. This maybe brought down my thoughts on the death, I wish Dale didn't die but thats how this show works nobody is safe.

Why Everyone Loves Daryl

Daryl is probably the majority of peoples fan favourite and he deserves it, by far he is the greatest edition to the show. Norman also is amazing in this role, since I have been a fan of his for years I was pleased to see him in this show.
His best moment for me was the whole seen in which he beats up Randall and Randall tells him about the girls and the look Daryl gives Randall was really great in this scene. Norman before has stated if I remember "I made a career out of dirty looks" boy was he right he gives a real mean look.

People love him for one real simple reason hes a BADASS and I feel maybe also in season 2 he also showed a softer side which people I think liked.

I can not wait to see what he will do in season 3 and I think this next season will be special for him.

Feel free to follow my blog and share it to help my blog grow thanks again!

Will Fans Ever Love Carl?

Fans really do hate Carl why? He does some real stupid things, 2 things come to my mind straight away. Causing Dales death which really angered the fans and him running off all the time and causing mischief leaving the rest of the group to clean up the mess he leaves behind.

I think if they go down the same route as the comic in which Carl becomes more of a badass character I think fans may start to like him more. I just hope they will not make him look even more stupid than he is at this current time.

Carl its for the fans!!!

Robert Kirkman Talks Walking Dead Issue 100

On what to prepare for when it comes to issue 100: I can say that everybody knows that there's this group out there called the Saviors that are kind of intimidating everyone on the Hilltop. They've kind of gotten on Rick's radar, we [saw] their first interaction in #97. We've basically got another very violent, dangerous group out there that Rick is going to be clashing with head-on and I can say that issue #100 is going to easily be the most gruesome, most violent, disturbing issue of "The Walking Dead" yet. So, be on the look out yet. When I say that, I do remember all of the gruesome, disturbing and violent things that have happened in "The Walking Dead" thus far, so I promise I mean it.

The Walking Dead Season 3 - New Character - Harold? Dale's Replacement?

The Walking Dead's third season doesn't air until the fall, but some spoilers about what's coming up have been released to tease fans. According to E! Online, the group is going to run into Harold, who "is 'a studious and fastidious man' trying to carve out a postapocalyptic niche for himself. Sounds like he could be a model 'prisoner'!"  I hope that this "Harold" is a big edition to the T.V show as we have seen characters added to the show that are not fearured in the comic become quite big parts for example TDog ( I know he never gets any lines but I still love him!) It will be interesting to see where they go with this character if these rumours are true.

L.A. Noir Signs More Walking Dead Cast

Even though this is not The Walking Dead news it is still interesting to the fans as some fan favourites are coming to L.A. Noir.
According to a very reliable source -- the Twitter account of actor Andrew Rothenberg -- both he and another "Walking Dead" alum -- Jeffrey DeMunn -- have signed on to roles in Frank Darabont's new TNT pilot, "L.A. Noir."

They'll be joining yet another "TWD" actor -- Jon Bernthal, who plays one of the leads in the drama.

DeMunn, whose "Walking Dead" character was gutted by zombies at the end of Season 2, will play Hal Morrison, a detective heading up an LAPD mob squad. Rothernberg, who was a Season 1 casualty on "The Walking Dead" will guest-star as Eddy Sanderson, a member of the squad, reports TV Guide.

Rothenberg first shared the news on Monday, tweeting, "Get ready Walking Dead fans, I'll be working with Frank Darabont, Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey DeMunn on LA NOIR, a pilot for TNT!"

Interview with Robert Kirkman

On Monday (May 7), production for Season 3 of "The Walking Dead" officially kicked off in Georgia and, to mark the event, AMC posted some juicy details from comic book creator turned executive producer Robert Kirkman, who is on set in Senoia, Ga.

Here are a few highlights from the interview, which you can read in full at amctv.com.

Q: The room in the prison with all the guns and the SWAT gear in the comic is really cool. Is that going to come up on the show?

A: We're a big fan of the SWAT gear here at The Walking Dead writer's room... maybe that's an indication that we'll be seeing that stuff in the show.

Q: With the evil Governor in the picture, does that mean the humans are the bigger threat this season?

A: The plan was always to evolve naturally into a place were the zombies essentially become a manageable threat. You know the rules. You know how to deal with them. To a certain extent they become something to not really be scared of unless you mess up. Humans, however, do not follow any rules and will always do something that surprises you and are capable of doing things far worse than trying to eat you...We're definitely going to be seeing a lot of horrible things.

Q: How are Danai Gurira's sword skills shaping up?

A: There's been quite a bit of sword training going on and [Danai] is doing an amazing job. She's going to be do all of the hard character stuff and drama that The Walking Dead is known for, but she has tremendous physical capability and the sword training that I've seen is absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see her hack up some zombies.

Q: This season has got so many exciting story lines...

A: When you think about The Walking Dead comic series, you think about oh, the stuff they with did the Governor, the stuff they did with the prison and Woodbury and Michonne. And that's really a lot of the stuff that people remember the story for and that's stuff we haven't even gotten to in the TV show yet. So as much as people love the show, and as high as the ratings are, and as cool as the show is, I feel like we haven't even gotten to the good stuff yet. This season is absolutely going to blow people away.

Walking Dead Comic Dominating

Continuing its domination of the graphic novel sales in bookstores, The Walking Dead laid claim to seven of the Top 10 spots on BookScan’s April chart. The series, by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard, took the first four positions. What’s more, 12 of the Top 20 graphic novels were volumes of The Walking Dead

Robert Kirkman talk about Danai Gurira as Michonne

The most anticipated newcomer of the bunch is Michonne, the sword-wielding zombie killer introduced in the season-two finale. Danai Gurira plays the role in season three, and Kirkman said she has a lot of hard work ahead of her."Danai is an absolutely fantastic actress," he said. "That role is going to be absolutely grueling. It'll put her through her paces. She'll have to do a lot of sword work. I can't say a lot about what she's going to do, but everyone who has read the comic knows Michonne is a badass. We'll see a lot of that in the show as well. Danai has really been diving into that head first with lots of sword training. We begin filming next week, so we'll be working with her a lot, and we're excited to have her on board."

How Was The Military Overrun?

I think this is an interesting topic, we never get a really big picture on how the military got overrun. The problem is if anybody dies they become a walker despite being bitten it makes it impossible to keep under control, people die everyday. Areas in lockdown would mean some people may die within meaning it could spread from the inside of protected areas. The army most likely would run out of ammo, we are not just talking about a couple of waves of zombies it would be wave after wave due to the zombies being attracted by noise. In the end they would just be outrrun and the soldiers would be outnumbered short term I think they would do well but overtime the supply issues would be clear.

The Walking Dead: The Game - Episode 2 "Starving for Help" Trailer

As we saw episode 1 "A New Day" was a huge success in terms of telling a story, being engaging and most important fun! Episode 2 seems to form an interesting plot point which would be a big problem if something like this happened in real life. How would you keep a good amount of food if you are unprepared for an event like this? We see this episode includes conflict between some other group of people The Walking Dead has always been known for big conflicts take The Governor for example it shows that even in a world where humanity is dying bad people still roam the world.

I can't wait to see the options we get, can we pick who we may feed the choclate bar to? Will we have to decide on some persons fate again? I really hope so.

Below is the trailer for people who either have not finished the first episode or needs brought up to speed on what I am talking about.

The Walking Dead Game: Episode 1 A New Day Review

This game I did not have high hopes for Telltale games in the past have made some pretty bad games, boy was I wrong this game blew me away. We should make two things clear here from the start: this is based primarily on the comics not the TV series, and features none of the same actors. It's also not a standard retail release, but a series of five episodic games which will come out monthly I believe. The first episode I finished in 2 - 3 hours since I played on the xbox it was 400 Microsoft points which I believe is about £3.50 or around $5 which to be honest you can pay a lot more to go see a film which may not even be good. The game also has multiple options which can change how the game plays slightly, not much though but we have been told they have massive effects in later episodes.

The Jurassic Park game released late last year was bad for the reason that it played out like a film with very little  interactivity for players. The Walking Dead game solves these problems,  it manages a much better balance between spectacle, storytelling, and puzzle-solving.

The focus of the game is a character called Lee Everett who's dark past is hinted at you progress. He isn't necessarily a bad person though and takes considerable effort to protect his child sidekick Clementine who he finds in a treehouse after she hid from her once babysitter. Clemintine is a perfect character I found myself ending up doing whatever it took to make sure she kept safe.

The main attraction of this game isn't the zombie killing, its the dialogue and character interactions that are the meat of the game. It was tough to decide with who I should side with at times and to make it even harder you are timed sometimes to pick, I loved this it was perfect as if it was real decisions would have to be made quick and there's no going back on your choices.

Interestingly, whatever choices you make don't affect the story very much but they do completely change the other characters' attitude towards you. This is important as I ended up making some very tough decisions which in turn made a certain character not think much of me and began to dislike me, this may affect me in future episodes its genius!

I love the art style as it resembles the comic in a way, fans of only the TV show may be put off by this which may be a shame. In places the flow of cutscenes can be a bit poor with some freezing screens for a couple seconds which sometimes took me out of the mood but nothing to serious to worry about.

I hope Telltale can keep up the quality in future episodes they do  have a tendency to vary wildly in quality from episode to episode but this first outing is the best thing they've done for years.

Verdict: It's a lot more wordy than you might expect from a survival horror, but it is the best zombie game since Left 4 Dead 2.  Excellent dialogue and voice acting, but art is not likely to appeal to everyone.

Score: A solid 9/10 AMAZING!

The Walking Dead Review Issue 96: A Larger World Conclusion

In defense of Gregory, Rick has killed Ethan, a member of the Hilltop community who was sent by the mysterious Negan in order to save his girlfriend (or possibly wife). After a tense confrontation calms down, Jesus takes Rick’s group to the mansion in the center of town and tells them about Negan. This roaming madman demands half of everything the Hilltop produces in the way of supplies. Carl steps up and says if they were to kill Negan and his men, why not just give Rick’s people half of what they produce. Rick sweetens the deal by saying they wouldn’t even need that much. This gets Jesus thinking, and gives Rick the chance to strike a deal with the people of the Hilltop. Now all Rick has to do is convince the battle-hardened Andrea and Michonne that this plan is the way toward a future that would be the return of civilization.

This particular issue from Robert Kirkman really sneaks up on you. It’s a conclusion to a story, but instead of the usual big finale that leaves the group obviously changed from what they were before, there’s almost a sense of hope… But what gives that hope a bite is that it could come with a serious cost. Rick is completely won over by the operation of the Hilltop. He and Glenn seem to view the place as almost a paradise or an oasis in the vast wasteland. Rick sees the place as the way of the future. These people live together peacefully and happily (aside from the menace of Negan). They produce massive amounts of food and supplies and seemed to have built a fairly serious life.
By the end of the issue, we see exactly how much each character has changed. Glenn is tired of living in fear. He wants a good life for Maggie, Sophia, and himself. He sees the Hilltop as a place where he could grow old and contented. Michonne, who’s never exactly been warm and fuzzy, sees the place as a terrifying cult-like compound led by a man who seemingly holds the place in a sway through his charisma. Andrea believes the place is weak and beneath them and can’t believe that Rick would sacrifice any of their people to protect them from someone that they allowed to take from the Hilltop.

Rick, in an effective monologue gives his side of the story. In a parallel to how the television series concluded its second season, Rick finally tells them how he’s felt being their leader. He didn’t ask for it, he can barely do it without getting people killed or losing loved ones. Here, at the Hilltop, he sees this as the beginning of a new civilization. A place where repopulation can begin.
Ultimately, the four points of view of the Hilltop actually parallel exactly four facets of how Rick runs his group. People feel safe around Rick. They follow him blindly. They are often exposed and, through that exposure, they are weakened. The goal from the very beginning was to find safety and some sort of modicum of a life. All this sneaks into this issue and leads to a rousing finish that sets up the next phase of this series, but what really stuck out for me was Rick’s big plan for the people of the Hilltop. He wants to take their some 200 people and turn them into an army against marauders and walkers to build that safe world.

It’s particularly interesting to see where we’re heading. Lots of talk has started to turn toward issue #100 and promises of surprises and shocks. And what of this Negan? Is he truly as bad as he seems or could there be more to his story? I can hardly wait to find out what happens next! This issue helped build up to this 100th issue and I hope it delivers something huge only time can tell thanks for reading!

Issue gets 8.5/10

Jon Bernthal's Idea For Shanes Death

Watch this video and decide if you think this ending was better for Shane than the one they used.

I think that this idea was actually better than the one they went with, why? I think it's a better send off due to the fact it gives a greater story that infact Shane didn't want to kill Rick afterall and helps give the idea Shane isn't just a bad guy but wanted what was best for everyone.

What I Want To See From Season 3

As you may know I can not wait for season 3, this season I believe will be some the best stuff we have seen. The whole Governor storyline was the highlight from the comics and I believe it will do the same for the show, I really want to see the story get more intense episode by episode and have some real amazing moments.

We need zombies! loads of them and as we have heard we are going to be expecting this. Many episodes in season 2 did lack zombies and many viewers did not enjoy the show as much because of it, in my opinion I did'nt mind it as I loved some of the time we got to see more of the characters and I think it helped us care for them more and not want them to die.

I hope that Michonne will do a good job in the show considering how much of an amazing character she is in the comics as she is just so interesting and I hope they picked the right actor for her part, I dont feel this is a worry because everyone cast in the show so far has been perfect.

I hope to see big twists in the story to help keep the show entertaining as to anybody that has read the comic will have a less exciting expirience if they know exactly what will happen. I wish to see scenes that make me think "Wow I did not expect that"

Ricks group is quite small now considering all the deaths we have had so I really want more characters to be introduced to his group, I dont just want Michonne (even though she will be awesome) I want maybe some prisoners to be found within the prison maybe.

Last but not least I want to see Lori die for the love of god, she is just so hated I do not know anybody that likes her. So we can hope and pray

My Top 5 All Time Favourite Characters From The Walking Dead (T.V Show Does Contain Spoilers)

5. Dale
Dale was such a great character as he is just so interesting, the story of how he is the last in the group who seems to off maintained his humanity and still believes in what is right. He added to many of the great scenes and stories, most often in season 2 my favourite by far was his role as the guy who knows what kind of guy Shane is. The death though I believe was not well done as he had so much that could be done with his character. Due to him wanting to leave this felt lie a really cheap death and the worst scene I would believe in The Walking Dead no build up to the death.
4. Andrea
Andrea I do admit I hated at first for obvious reasons such as shooting Daryl and almost killing him, but as season 2 goes on I really started to love Andrea. for 2 reasons, she became such an interesting character and the other reason was down to her turning into a badass. I really loved her in the final episode of season 2 with her many awesome zombie kills! I hope she can continue to improve and she may even move up in the list!
3.Daryl
Daryl I do not believe is not in anybody's top 5, he's such a great character considering he is not featured in the comic books. I just really like the way his character has evolved over the 2 seasons we have had so far and I cross my fingers that he never dies! I think it will be really interesting how he reacts to his brother returning which I believe we will see in season 3.

2. Rick

Rick the main "good guy" of The Walking Dead he's got a really good story behind him having a power struggle in the group, people doubting his leadership of the group. I loved his story also of his wifes baby maybe not even being his. I can't wait for him to become much more heartless ( A bit like Shane became I suppose) I think the way his character evolved in the character was amazing I hope the show can do the same.

 1. Shane
Shane by far is my favourite, he is a outstanding edition to show considering his short time in the comic I'm glad they decided to include him in the show. The actor Jon Bernthal could not of done a better job and was perfect for the role! His character was interesting due to his development during his time on the show until becoming nothing but a cold blooded survivor who wants nothing but want Lori and Carl as his own instead of Rick. I believe his death helped Rick get across and also helped evolve his character which we will see in the 3rd season.

This list will most likely change in season 3 I can see Michonne getting on the list feel free to comment on your favourites and share thanks again!

Q&A from Emily Kinney (Beth Greene)

Credit to: http://blogs.amctv.com/the-walking-dead/2012/04/emily-kinney-interview.php
Nebraska native Emily Kinney, who plays Beth Greene on AMC's The Walking Dead, explains why her home state would be the ideal place to ride out the apocalypse and describes what it's like to see a walker chatting on a cell phone.
Q: You're a musician in addition to being an actress. Steven Yeun plays guitar. Did you two ever jam on set?
A: We had a guitar on set and when we were just sitting around we'd sing a little. Steven always wanted to sing harmony! One of the first nights I played for everyone was the Fourth of July. Steven and Lauren [Cohan] and a bunch of us went to go watch fireworks in the pouring rain and we decided to go inside and he had a guitar. After that I did kind of start playing for people.
Q: You grew up in Nebraska, and in the Midseason Premiere Dave says "there's a reason it's called a flyover state." How did you react to the dig?
A: I thought that was funny because I've heard people say that before! I live in New York City now, but my parents love living in small towns. They love the lifestyle, getting to know their neighbors and being close to family. And I have had friends who are like, "Why would anybody move away from Nebraska?" But there is nothing to do there.
Q: Would you rather ride out the apocalypse in New York City or Nebraska?
A: I want to say Nebraska -- it'd be like Hershel's farm. I did grow up in a place that was really close to what Hershel's farm is like, in this little town called North Bend, Nebraska. It's surrounded by farmland with a little over 1,000 people. But then there's something about New York and New Yorkers, who are tough and know how to do what they have to do. So I feel having some New York friends would be a good thing too.

Q: You're one of the younger actresses on set. Did you get any wisdom from the veterans?
A: I don't know if they specifically gave me advice, but you can't help but talk to them about the difficulties they've had. I also feel like I learned a lot from just watching how they did their scenes. When we arrived on set, right away it felt like we were sort of Scott Wilson's daughters. He invited us to dinner and loved telling stories about other movies he was in.
Q: On the show you play Maggie's little sister. How did your relationship with Lauren Cohan compare?
A: I'm the middle child and I have a really great older sister. I definitely related to that dynamic. Lauren and I became like that on set: We'd talk about boys and clothes and hang out.
Q: Did you find that the walkers were any different in person than how they seemed as a viewer?
A: It was pretty funny to have a break and see zombies on their cell phones or smoking a cigarette -- doing normal things. And then you'd see them on set, like oh, the zombie that is stuck in the mud is the guy that I was just talking to about their kids in the van!
Q: Would you say you were relieved or upset that you didn't get to kill a walker this season?
A: At first I was just so happy to have survived myself. But now watching the show, I have to kill a zombie! I feel like it will make me a stronger character. I don't know if I will, but I'm hoping!

TDog Set To Play A Bigger Role In The Walking Dead

TDog as we know has done very little compared to everyone else in season 2 (if you have not seen the jokes on the internet), I'm glad this is happening he has been standing in the background a lot so I'm really happy they will be giving him a bigger role in the show. I actually really like TDog I dont know why, maybe its just some of his (short but cool) lines some of which really added to the show mainly him saying both to Dale at the start of season 2 and Lori at the end "lets just go forget evertone else". I really like this from the character and maybe build on this.

Its true :(

Lauren Cohan Promoted To Series Regular For Season 3

Lauren Cohan is heading into The Walking Dead‘s third season with very good news
The actress — who throughout the AMC smash’s killer second season as Hershel’s eldest daughter, Maggie — has been elevated to a full-fledged series regular.

While the promotion would seem to indicate that Glenn’s sweetheart will figure prominently in the show’s upcoming third season, it by no means guarantees she’ll make it out of the season alive (Hopefully she does I love her!) The Walking Dead‘s 16-episode third season, set to premiere this fall, will likely be divided into two parts (much the same way Season 2 was).  “Getting eight-and-eight will almost be like doing two seasons a year, which is cool.” said Robert Kirkman. So expect to see a lot more from Lauren Cohan in the future of The Walking Dead

'Walking Dead' producers tease season three premiere

The Walking Dead executive producers Glen Mazzara and Robert Kirkman have revealed some details about the third season premiere.

Speaking at a TV Academy panel in Los Angeles, Mazzara confirmed that he had just finished work on the script for the episode and dropped a few hints about its content, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Mazzara said: "It's pretty dynamic and action-packed with tons of zombies, but also a lot of quieter moments and a lot of heart.

"This is a group of survivors, a family that has come together and they have no good options, no place to go and they're really trying to keep themselves alive, and keep each other alive.

"You can see how desperate they are; they're clinging to each other. It's those moment of human interaction and heart that are important."

Kirkman implied that the season would be a good one for fans of the original comic series, saying: "For comic fans, they know the good stuff is coming. The really intense stuff with Michonne, the Governor and Woodbury [prison] really defined the comic book series and we haven't even gotten to that stuff yet.

"Now that we're getting to that stuff in season three, it's really going to change the show quite a bit."

Kirkman went on to get slightly more specific, teasing that a memorable moment from the comic book series will feature in the premiere, but that it will involve a different character than the comic's version.

He teased: "There will be cases where something memorable... will be displaced and given to somebody else.

"I'll hint that that actually happens in our first episode back in season three - something memorable that happened to a character in the comic is happening in the show in our first episode back, and it's not the same character."

The show's third season will be set in the town of Woodbury, it has been confirmed.

The Walking Dead will return to AMC later this year, and airs on FX in the UK

'Walking Dead' comic lives to see 100

Not many comics can say they made it to 100 issues but The Walking Dead will reach that milestone in the summer. Boosted by the success of the AMC television adaptation, The Walking Dead is the highest-selling trade-paperback and hardcover series in comics  last month, it took all 10 spots on Amazon's top 10 list of graphic novels. So Kirkman wanted the 100th cover to be worthy enough for a landmark not many indie comics obtain. The image, by series artist Charlie Adlard is really amazing it features all the characters that have been killed during the first 100 issues, ranging from friends of Rick to his biggest enemy so far the Governor and even his wife Lori.

Issue 100 falls right in the "dead center" of what he calls the "craziest" story arc so far in the comic series, a bloody affair that finds Rick and his group of survivors thriving in a (seemingly) safe community, much like they did at the prison.

Kirkman has been hard at work on writing the comic since fall of 2003, yet Kirkman still feels like he's on issue 10.

"I really do want to do this for decades," he says. "I'm thrilled that it still feels like I have a full tank of gas." We can see that The Walking Dead still has a huge future ahead.

Remember to comment, share to help spread the word and if you enjoy the blog please follow!

First Ever Post Request!: Who Will Replace Shane On The Intro?

As we know since Shane is no longer in The Walking Dead who will replace him in the intro? I believe two ideas, either the Shane will be redone to smply show some more shots of the city or maybe even the prison. The second idea is I believe Michonne will be put in that place instead since she is such a major character as we will see coming into the show.
Please share, comment, follow and leave your ideas on what will happen with the intro!

The End Of Lori?

Television shows always like to play down casting news when it affects them. The company line goes something like this: "Oh, just because [actor] got cast in [new pilot] doesn't mean the character is going to be [eaten by zombies/get his face blown up by a wheelchair bomb/have his head cut off by a boy king]! Fans shouldn't worry about this news, it's nothing!" Meanwhile, their palms are sweaty and their teeth are chattering because they know their hit show just got spoiled.
Remember when The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal was cast in TNT's LA Noir? AMC dismissed it as nothing to note. Next thing you know, Shane is getting stabbed in the woods and then shot in the head. Now the same casting doom is happening with another cast member: Sarah Wayne Callies, who plays Lori Grimes.

Will this be the end for Lori only time can tell, my hopes are yes she is just such a bad character just like the comics she was made easy to hate which will make the death all the more sweet.

The Walking Dead Comic Review: Issue 95 A Larger World Part Three

When Rick and his gang of survivors first found a  secure and safe community, Robert Kirkman began to construct an illusion of safety. For a while, it seemed as if The Walking Dead was going to end on a good note, Rick felt safe, Carl was healthy and most of the survivors were as content as one could be during the apocalypse. However, as soon as things seemed at harmony, Kirkman began pulling loose the threads that constructed the very same sense of amity. The Walking Dead #95 is the culmination of the slow unraveling that has been occurring since the survivors stumbled upon their new community. This issue finally shreds all hope for survival and introduces us to a brand new hell.

This issue looks as if it will break into another big fight just like we saw with the governor, Robert Kirkman understands the importance of anticipation. Few writers have the skills or patience to build a sense of dread like Kirkman has in the past few issues of The Walking Dead.

I'm glad that even though the T.V show is on the go that Kirkman is not slacking with the comics as they are still an amazing read. I hope Kirkman continues to make this comic as good as it has been for years to come.

Overall in this comic:
good character development
great continuation of this new story arc looking really good so far
This issue gets 9.5/10

remember to share, comment to spread the word of this blog to fellow fans of The Walking Dead!
